Monday, Sept. 22 4-6pm, Faculty Center: A Practical Guide to the Academic Job Search. Get advice from the Teaching Innovations Future Faculty Mentoring Fellows on preparing commonly-needed job documents and approaching the academic job search.

Monday, Oct. 20 4-6pm, Faculty Center: The Academic Job Search: Human and Social Sciences. A panel of faculty from fields such as Geography, English, Sociology, and Psychology will share advice for graduate students on navigating the academic job search in humanities and social science fields.

Wednesday, Oct. 22 4-6pm, Faculty Center: The Academic Job Search: Natural and Health Sciences. A panel of faculty from fields such as Kinesiology, Nursing, Biochemistry, and Public Health will share advice for graduate students on navigating the academic job search in natural science and health-related fields.

In addition to these fall events, we're planning for Spring 2015 additional events that we hope will be of interest to graduate students across UNCG, including a panel discussion on academic jobs "off the track," i.e. postdocs, VAPs, lectureships, and so on, and a panel discussion on translating a graduate degree into a non-academic career in publishing, editing, or nonprofit work.
