  • Why Teaching?
  • I believe that education is the foundation of a healthy democracy and a means by which we can promote social justice and equity. And teaching is fun.
  •
  • Why Educational Leadership?
  • I want to help cultivate the type of leaders John Quincy Adams revered:

"If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader." --John Quincy Adams
  •
  • Why an FTLC Fellowship?
  • I believe in the power of collaborative learning.
  •
  • What one thing would you change about UNCG?
  • If I were omnipotent, I would vastly streamline the UNCG bureaucracy, reinstate intramural grant funding for teaching and scholarship, and install a hot chocolate machine right outside of my office. Oops . . . that's three things.

  • What’s Next?
  • World domination--or the continued growth of invigorating networks of committed faculty learners across campus. Probably the latter.
